Your account

When you create an account, we keep your email address and sign-in details so you can log in. They are held by Amazon Web Services, which runs our sign-in service. We never see your password.

What we collect

When program lists open, the resume, transcript, background and preferences you submit. These can contain your name, contact details, grades and work history, so please leave out anything you do not want to share.

We also record a browser cookie that links you to your searches, and a one-way hash of your IP address with the time of each search, which we use to limit abuse.

How it is used

Only to produce and refine your program list. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who receives it

Your profile is stored on systems we control. To generate your list, your profile is sent to OpenAI, which processes it under its API terms. Your request is then used for web searches run through OpenAI.

How long we keep it

We keep your profile and results until you ask us to delete them. Files you upload are read as text. To request a copy or deletion of your data, write to contact@acadadviser.com.

Security

Connections use HTTPS, and only your browser session can open your results. No online service can guarantee complete security.
